When patriotism and PR go together

The patriotic season is upon us. And so are some incredible headlines for our client Vent-A-Hood.

We cannot help but feel nostalgic as the country just observed Memorial Day and humbly remembered our military heroes who made the ultimate sacrifices to keep us safe. And with July 4th Independence Day just around the corner, again we are reminded of the freedoms we enjoy in this great country — including a free market economy that allows great businesses to prosper. Such is the case with Vent-A-Hood.

The Made In America success story is alive and well.

Nothing symbolizes American patriotism quite like the Made in America label. And recently our client Vent-A-Hood, the leading manufacturer of range hoods, celebrated 84-years of American manufacturing excellence. The company hosted a star-spangled celebration for long-standing distributors, retailers and suppliers, starting with a breakfast and special keynote presentation from former First Lady of the United States Mrs. Laura Bush at Vent-A-Hood’s headquarters. Mrs. Bush spoke about her new focus with the former President at The George W. Bush Institute that they oversee at The George W. Bush Presidential Library.

With freedom being the overriding focus of the institute’s initiatives and the causes that it supports around the world, Mrs. Bush included the theme of the free enterprise system — a founding principle for businesses like Vent-A-Hood in America.

Not all businesses are shipping jobs overseas. Consumer demand remains strong for manufacturing in America where quality prevails.

The event illustrated that manufacturing in America remains a solid foundation upon which to operate a business. The pride that comes with creating jobs, manufacturing products, serving customers and maintaining a legacy is a role that many brands should continue to champion.

Vent-A-Hood’s dedication to manufacturing in America is unwavering. The company has succeeded with a steadfast focus on innovation and staying true to its core values. By catering to customers that are willing to make a lasting investment in their kitchen with the purchase of a premium range hood, Vent-A-Hood has built an incredible history for the brand’s reputation.

That story of Vent-A-Hood’s commitment to manufacturing in the USA was shared recently by Vent-A-Hood CEO Skip Woodall on WFAA-TV, relaying the powerful message of a brand that has led the industry for more than eight decades while also providing coveted jobs to a workforce that never leaves. You can view the story here: http://www.wfaa.com/features/original/made-in-usa-richardson-company-defies-temptations-to-move-manufacturing/443916340

So, just in case you thought the news only covered crime or Hollywood, think again. We know there’s a place for uplifting stories of perseverance and success where it matters the most.
