Since the early 1900s when Edward Bernays and others began introducing the idea of “public relations” as a way to shape public opinion, the profession has continually evolved to take advantage of advances in technology and communications tools. Recently, another trend has begun to take hold — the blurring of the lines between PR, marketing and advertising. At the same time, the growing influence of the citizen journalist coupled with the explosion of social media has diluted the impact (and availability) of traditional media.
At BizCom, we always focus on staying at the forefront of changes and being flexible enough to respond to the new demands and the needs of our clients and the public.
Two years ago, we launched a new digital division that now offers award-winning social media and digital marketing services to clients. Almost immediately a steady stream of existing clients, as well as new ones, have added digital campaigns to their efforts with exceptional results.
In 2020, we’re excited to change the look of things once again. While the visual aspects of communications have always been important in marketing and brand building, the importance of how information is presented — not just what is presented — is becoming even more critical as we increasingly get our information on smaller screens and platforms that limit what can be presented and how it is presented.
That’s why we are excited to announce the launch of BizCom Design, a creative division that specializes in results-driven graphic design and visual content creation.
BizCom Design services range from new logo identities and strategic messaging to implementing the identities and messaging into websites, video and print collateral. We’ve always offered these services, but now are refocusing our energies in these areas.
You can view a portfolio of creative work we’ve handled for clients that underscore the expertise we’re planning to grow.
We launched this division because of the increased demand for graphic design services in our modern era of omnichannel marketing and communications. Design has become a crucial part of how businesses tell their story, and good design is a helpful tool when trying to resonate well with consumers. Design is memorable.
For the importance of design, look at these stats:
65% of people are visual learners.
93% of all communication is visual.
Posts with images produce 180% more engagement.
Our brain processes visuals 60,000 times faster than text.
91% of people like visual content over written content.
Strategic marketing communications campaigns increasingly require expertise in the areas of digital and design and we are convinced they will play an even larger role in how brands tell their story, increase brand awareness and so much more.
