February Client Love

February is the month for love and there was no shortage of news and PR wins for our clients this month. Here are some of our favorite highlights:

Dina Dwyer-Owens was interviewed by KCEN-TV in Waco for a great story on Neighborly’s Women in the Trades scholarship program. You can watch that full segment HERE.

9Round continued to expand internationally in February, which comes as no surprise to us given the brand’s recent ranking at number 20 on Entrepreneur’s 2019 list of Fastest-Growing Franchises. The brand celebrated its first grand opening in Singapore, and it finalized plans for future development in Ecuador. 9Round also updated its franchise model after 10 years in the business, now welcoming prospective franchisees looking for semi-absentee ownership options moving forward. Finally, 9Round co-founders Shannon and Heather Hudson both provided awesome interviews as guests on two different podcasts: Shannon on “Take the Lead” with Dr. Diane Hamilton, and Heather on Sharon Lechter’s “Play Big Movement.”

For the second year in a row, Gold’s Gym received the Global Franchise Award for Best Fitness Franchise of the year. Even after 54 years as the world’s trusted fitness authority, it is clear that this brand is still a force to be reckoned with in the international fitness market.

Neighborly made yet another acquisition, adding U.K.-based Dream Doors as the 22nd brand on its roster of home service offerings. As the company continues to make its updated brand image known after changing the company’s name last year after 37 years as the Dwyer Group, President and CEO Mike Bidwell reflected on all that went into the rebranding process in a Franchising World article. Recent accolades for the company include being named a Franchise Times 2019 Dealmaker, as well as receiving the Global Franchise Award for Best Property & Home Maintenance Franchise during this year’s annual IFA Convention.

Solera broke ground on the North American CESVI LIV center in Justin, Texas. This research and training center is the first of its kind providing a research-to-action facility where mechanics, collision technicians, and assessors of all skill levels can come to earn additional certifications and gain hands-on training for real-world scenarios. Executive Director of CESVI LIV Chris Mullen shared more about the center with WBAP radio, and NBC5 in DFW came out to cover the groundbreaking and featured the story in their 6 p.m. newscast.

Best Life Brands was selected as a Franchise Times 2019 Dealmakers award winner for the formation of the platform company over ComForCare, At Your Side and CarePatrol.

Restoration 1 CEO Gary Findley was interviewed for Rick Tocquigny’s “CEO in 10” segment on the Life Lessons Podcast. Restoration 1 was also ranked in the top 50 for Entrepreneur’s 2019 Fastest-Growing franchises list.

What a month it has been! One of the most rewarding parts of working in PR is getting a front row seat to watch clients succeed, which is a regular occurrence here at BizCom. Looking forward to celebrating more growth, recognition, and milestones with them in the months to come.
