The Faces Behind BizCom: Andrew DeBellevue

Meet the faces behind BizCom! We’re profiling all of our team members at the agency.

Meet Andrew DeBellevue. He’s a born and raised Texan and is a graduate from the University of North Texas. He just started his internship at BizCom.

Position at BizCom: Intern

Hometown: Flower Mound, TX

College/University: University of North Texas

Why did you choose PR? I grew up doing speech and debate and always had a love for writing. I first wanted to go into civil engineering and architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington, but I changed my mind after taking a tour at the University of North Texas and visiting their journalism department.

Advice for someone looking to start a career in PR: The best thing to do is apply for internships and accept interviews for the ones that reach back out. After graduating, I have kept in touch with my professors and they have given me a lot of advice and information on finding a job based on my individual skills.

I’m happiest when… I’m outside or on one of my motorcycles. I like to go on adventures with my friends too.

Favorite vacation spot? I love visiting my siblings out in Colorado. We go mountain biking and hiking in the mountains.

Go-to Netflix shows: I have been binge watching Community and Arrow lately!

1-2 activities you would like to do that’s on your bucket list? I would love to go on a motorcycle trip across the country. Also, I have always wanted to visit Norway.

If you had an extra hour each day, how would you spend it? I would either go out on my motorcycle and find new roads or play drums! If I wanted to stay inside, I probably would make a YouTube video.

If you could see any artist in concert, who would it be? I would love to see Volbeat again. They had amazing stage presence.

List 2-3 others probably wouldn’t know about you or “fun facts”:

  • I have had four motorcycle accidents.

  • I used to be in a band.

  • I was homeschooled.
