Celebrating Year 1 at BizCom Associates

It’s been a little over a year since my family made the move from New Jersey to Texas and exactly one year since I joined the BizCom Associates PR team. New to Texas and new to franchising PR, it’s safe to say I felt like a fish out of water. While I was slightly concerned that franchising PR might be a little dull, this year certainly assuaged those fears.

My first day at BizCom started with giving away a Red Mango store to Easter Seals New York for a military veterans job training initiative. Needless to say, it has been a fun ride ever since.

Other highlights from the year include…

Promoting a lottery winner and an NBA basketball Hall of Famer, both opening new Red Mango locations.

Meeting former First Lady of the United States Mrs. Laura Bush at Vent-A-Hood’s 84th anniversary celebration – an event that showered the company with star spangled publicity.

Spreading Pinot’s Palette’s timely “Disconnect to Reconnect” message by partnering with local and national influencers

Seeking out the most talented math and writing students in North Texas with Explore Horizons tutoring centers

Have I also mentioned I have more than one delicious client? From pizza lunches at Mr. Gatti’s to cooling off with Red Mango’s dairy-free FroNo and celebrating my own job-versary with Gigi’s Cupcakes, I’ve done my fair share of eating at BizCom.

Top that all off with agency outings to watch the Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, and Allen Americans play, mixed in with afternoons at Studio Movie Grill and Top Golf — it’s been a memorable first year at BizCom.

I’m excited to see what’s in store for year two!
