We love grand openings here at BizCom! This month, we celebrated not just one, but two awesome openings for our clients.
Gigi’s Cupcakes just opened a new location in Bee Cave, Texas. The store is owned by three franchisees, all University of Texas alumni, including two NFL stars! How cool is that?
The players, Michael Griffin and Brian Orakpo, run Gigi’s Bee Cave along with their friend and fellow Longhorn, Bryan Hynson. Bryan, Brian, and Michael are hands on owners whether it’s helping customers behind the register, swirling icing, or decorating cupcakes. At their grand opening, all three were taking orders, helping customers, giving away signed swag and prizes, and managing the line that ran out the door all day!
The Bee Cave store is the 17th location in Texas and it is the 3rd in the Austin area. Before the opening, the new owners also stopped by Fox 7 Good Day Austin, along with Gigi’s Cupcake’s founder Gigi Butler, to give the Good Day hosts a lesson in how to perfect the famous Gigi’s swirl.
While the Gigi’s team was busy swirling cupcakes, Gatti’s Pizza was serving up a fresh buffet in Killeen, Texas. This new location opened during Spring Break with a week-long grand opening celebration. Since opening, the new store has been a hit, seeing over 1,000 customers every day and lines forming out the door before the doors even open.
The new location, also run by a trio of local entrepreneurs, marks the iconic brand’s first franchise location in seven years and also the first location outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the new prototype.
We can’t wait to see all the tasty new developments from both Gigi’s and Gatti’s this year!
