All Ranked and Ready for Growth

For 37 years, Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 List has recognized top companies for performance in their respective industry.

Entrepreneur has its own formula for success. Financial strength, growth rate and size of the system are just a few of the categories taken into consideration for rankings.

The Franchise 500 List is broken down into 17 categories and showcases the best of the best. And in doing so, the list has become a beacon for business. It demonstrates that with a strong business model and the right leadership behind it, a franchise can be an appealing career move for a growing number of people who want to be the boss. Don’t believe it? The only evidence you need is the annual January issue — the single largest issue of Entrepreneur every year.

Franchising still helps people live the American Dream

The Franchise 500 List proves the American Dream is still alive and well.

However, many business leaders know reaching the dream won’t necessarily be easy. Building a business from the ground up can be incredibly difficult. But franchising still offers that attractive opportunity of a proven system to open and own your own business.

People continue to want to feed their entrepreneurial dreams without completely reinventing the wheel. The entrepreneurial mindset in a franchisee is immediately drawn to achieving the dream without the heavy risk of starting from scratch. Through franchising, they are able to receive support, training and leadership needed from a strong corporate team.

BizCom clients continue to climb the Franchise 500 List this year

A record-setting 12 franchise brands from four clients on the BizCom roster made the list this year.

Leading the pack was Edible Arrangements at #35, which celebrated international expansion, new domestic openings, and a fantastic harvest of franchise renewals for 10-year agreements. The leader in fresh fruit bouquets includes more than 1,200 locations open or in development worldwide.

Service trades also proved lucrative for expansion. Dwyer Group had a historic year of growth, expanding its roster to 13 service brands and growing to 2,500 franchisees in 10 countries around the world. A record-setting nine Dwyer Group, Inc. service brands were ranked in Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500 list in the following order:

  1. Molly Maids – #97

  2. The Grounds Guys – #174

  3. Appliance – #220

  4. Aire Serv – #221

  5. Five Star Painting – #259

  6. Rooter – #380

  7. Handyman – #381

  8. Glass Doctor – #441

  9. Electric – #473

Meanwhile, Pinot’s Palette said cheers to their highest ranking on the list to date at #247. The premiere upscale paint and sip chain, which is also the fastest-growing franchise of its kind, celebrated a record year of expansion in 2015 with 59 new studios and a 70% increase in systemwide sales.

And Red Mango continues to set the bar in healthy offerings, ranking #494 on the list. With a café menu, co-branding successes, and a growing audience of consumers worldwide, the year ahead will be another big year for the motto to Treat Yourself Well.

Congratulations to all of BizCom’s award-winning clients. Through the power of franchising, we’re privileged to play a role in promoting their opportunities, their success stories and their continued growth. With 2016 ahead of us, we forecast another great year to come!
